Ethylene, the most produced organic compound in the world, is considered as one of the important raw materials in textiles and organic chemical industry. It is an inflammable, colourless gaseous alkene, obtained from petroleum and natural gas.
Ethylene prices, on March 5, showed down trend. Prices for Asian, Far Eastern as well as European regions saw a fall compared to last week.
Asia region ethylene prices:
Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $1260-1270 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $1110-1120 per metric ton.
Far East region ethylene prices:
Ethylene, FOB Korea, at US $1310 per metric ton.
Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $1310 per metric ton.
Europe ethylene prices:
Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 1004.00-1006.00 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $ 1352.00-1356.00 per metric ton.
