It has been noted that due to international trade crunch and other internal factors, prices of raw-materials have hiked globally.

Reportedly, in June 2008, 33 percent of Chinese enterprises reflected the rise of raw materials' prices, whereas, in July, 34 percent of companies marked an increase in raw materials' prices.

Raw materials' prices in nine textile sectors of China, including textile, clothing, shoes, caps, fur, and down products industry, among others, registered a growth-rate of more than 60 percent.

However, according to the latest statistics, the average prices in Chinese market, especially in fur sector, have been sliding since last couple of months.

Experts say that the fur raw-materials' prices will show significant decline in the second half of 2008.

They said that downstream industries were unable to bear the cost of rising raw-material prices. Thus, fearing drop in sales, the upstream sectors have begun to pull down the rates.
