Since past few weeks crude price graph has fallen, which in turn has affected ethylene prices across the world.
Ethylene prices showed a descending trend for almost all the importing countries on September 17. Prices quoted for Asian, Far Eastern, European, region shows a descending trend where as for the US market a rise is evident in comparison to last week.
Ethylene prices in Asia region:
Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $1120-1130 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $1110-1120 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Far East region:
Ethylene, FOB South Korea, at US $1120 per metric ton.
Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $1120 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Europe:
Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 965-970 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $1320-1330 per metric ton.
Price in the United States:
Ethylene, FAS Houston, at US cent 57.275-57.500 per pound.
