The impact of global financial meltdown is quite visible on the crude as well as propylene market. Prices for the both have slipped considerably in the recent times.

Most of the importing regions, Far East, Europe and the US showed a down trend on October 22, in comparison to the previous week.

Propylene prices in Far East region:

Propylene, FOB South Korea, at US $601-611 per ton.

Propylene prices in European region:

Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 930-935 per metric ton.
Propylene (polymerization level), CIF Northwest Europe, at Euro 930-935 per metric ton.

Price in the United States:

Propylene (refining level), FAS Houston, at US cent 37.625-37.875 per lb.
