Ethylene price for various markets moves up

In past few months crude prices showed a down trend, and its effects on ethylene prices were quite harsh, creating havoc on producers, who expanded their capacities when demand was on the higher side.

However, things have taken a positive turn and on January 7, ethylene price graph for most importing regions like Asia, Far East, Europe and the US showed a significant growth in comparison to prior week.

Ethylene prices in Asia region:
Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $575-$590 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $590-$605 per metric ton.

Ethylene prices in Far East region:

Ethylene, FOB South Korea, at US $550 per metric ton.
Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $550 per metric ton.

Ethylene prices in Europe:

Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 440.00-445.00 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $500.00-$515.00 per metric ton.

Price in the United States:

Ethylene, FAS Houston, at US cent 24.250-24.755 per pound.
