Propylene market prices show fluctuation

The steep fall of crude and diminishing demand in the international market has got manufacturers of down stream products in a tight spot. Propylene prices showed considerable fluctuation in various markets.

On January 21, propylene prices for regions like Far East showed a marginal plunge where as Europe and the US demonstrated a growth in comparison to the previous week.

Propylene prices in Far East region:

Propylene, FOB South Korea, at US $583-$593 per ton.

Propylene prices in European region:

Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 402-412 per metric ton.
Propylene (polymerization level), CIF Northwest Europe, at Euro 392-402 per metric ton.

Price in the United States:

Propylene (refining level), FAS Houston, at US cent 21.505-22.005 per lb.
