According to a recent statistical report released by Iran's petrochemical sector, exports from the sector amounted to 10.94 million tons in 2008.
The aggregate value of exports of petrochemical products touched US 7.19 billion, out of which, shipments of Methanol accounted for the lion's share.
Among other products exported from the sector in 2008 were naphtha, benzene, ethylene and others which are critical inputs of the textile industry.
