On September 26, PTA market in East China sank in stalemate. Suppliers of PTA were offering cargoes of PTA at 6,650-6,700 Yuan per ton.
But on the other side, inquiries from downstream sector were only at, 6,600 Yuan per ton, while actual negotiation level was at 6,650 Yuan per ton, due to which trading was light.
Import market of spot PTA was also in a state of deadlock too. Suppliers were quoting at US $785-790 per ton, while counteroffers from downstream sector were at $780 per ton.
