September benzene output shoots up

It is reported that China's Benzene output in September 2009 registered 417,000 tons, showing an increase of 17.5 percent year on year compared with 355,000 tons in September 2008.

From January to September 2009, China's Benzene production totaled 3.336 million tons, representing an increase of 3.1 percent year on year compared with 3.235 million tons of the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Nippon Oil of Japan has released Asian Benzene contract price for November at US $830 per ton, CFR, representing and increase of $130 Yuan per ton or 19 percent from October settlement price which stood at $700 per ton.
