The newly set up Yangzhuanghe refinery project under Yanchang Petroleum Group in Shaanxi Province has been put into operation.
It has a benzene production capacity of 7.8 million metric tons per year and as per latest reports the production output of benzene is stable.
The company has adopted a policy of signing contracts with downstream manufacturers rather than selling benzene in the spot markets.
The construction of the project started in the second half of 2007 and was put into operation in August 2009.
