According to Customs statistics, China's imports of pure benzene reached 17,035 tons in October 2009 and import value amounted to US $12.59 million.
The average price was US $739 per ton. Import volume increased 190.41 percent from the previous month, but reduced 1.82 percent compared with the same time a year, earlier.
