Domestic PTA market in East China slowed down on April 8 as demand from downstream sector reduced, leading offers to fall marginally to 8,200-8,250 Yuan per ton.

However, counteroffers from cargo holders were around 8,300 Yuan per ton and actual negotiating level declined to 8,250 Yuan per ton and trading volume was light.

Spot market of PTA imports was temporarily stable, offers for Taiwan goods temporarily stabilized at US $995-1000 per ton, though actual negotiations were priced at $990-995 per ton.

Offers for South Korean PTA supply too remained stagnant at $965 per ton and the actual price in negotiations maintained at $960 per ton.

Market supply was limited as suppliers were reluctant to sell at a lower price. Market traders were cautiously optimistic about market outlook.
