Asian benzene market fell into stalemate under the shadow of successive decline in international oil prices and European benzene prices, but the market found support from a good trend in exports.

In the Asian markets, FOB Korea ranged between US $995-1010 / ton on April 21, up $10-15 / ton from the previous week.

In the Chinese market, benzene prices were steady. Market price in East China ranged between 7,900-7,950 Yuan / ton, in South China it stood at 7,850-7,900 Yuan / ton and North China it touched 7,850-7,900 Yuan / ton.

It is reported that about 60,000 tons of benzene will be shipped from Asia to the United States, of which about 30,000-40,000 tons will be from South Korea.

International oil prices face more downward pressure due to the Goldman Sachs fraud, due to which, Asian benzene market is expected to witness a slight drop.
