Naphtha imports surge in March

Japanese imports of Naphtha for domestic consumption rose by 40 percent year on year in March, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry revealed.

According to statistics, Japan's March imports of Naphtha reached 1.330 million tons. Naphtha is mainly used as feedstock for production of ethylene.

Imports of Naphtha stood at 0.943 million tons in March of last year, while in February of the current year, imports of naphtha totaled to 1.396 million tons.
