Paraxylene prices opened with the firm sentiment, improved to between US $925-930/ton in S E Asian market and in European markets price assessed in the range of $898-903/ton while in US market, price was in the range of $900-905/ton.
PTA price increased in tandem with the improved market sentiment, Offered price of PTA was in the range of $860-865/ton. Downstream buyers in the S E Asian market still adopt stance of wait and watch as future direction is not clear. In Chinese PTA market, price was around RMB 7,150/ton.
Ethylene turned weak in tandem with poor upstream, price declined to $890-900/ton. In N E Asian and in S E Asian market price went down to $895-900/ton. In Rotterdam market price is expected around $ 1,100/ton.
MEG price was near to bottom level hence sellers preferred to hold material. The buying offer was in the range of $720-730/ton. Contract negotiations for bonded MEG cargoes were around $740/ton while buyers try to pull down price towards $730/ton.
FG PET Chips -
FG PET Chips imported from the M E Asian market further declined by $10/ton and assessed in the range of $1,130-1,135/ton. In Chinese market price was in the range of RMB 9700-9800/ton.
