Chinese firm Shanghai Secco shutdown one of its acrylonitrile production line having production capacity of 130,000 ton/year.
The total plant capacity is 260,000 ton / year. The other line is running at optimum operation level.
In Chinese market, acrylic staple fibre market remained stable at high price level of around RMB 22800 / ton.
As upstream acrylonitrile continued to give downward pressure to downstream acrylic fibre, buyers are likely to expect lower prices for acrylic fibre.
