BTX plant coming up in Shanghai

Construction of a new benzene, toluene and mixed-xylene (BTX) plant is in full swing in Shanghai, which is being set up by Shanghai Huachen Energy Co Ltd.

This was revealed to fibre2fashion by an official source of the company. He informed that the plant will have a capacity of 250,000 metric tons per year.

He added by saying that the feedstock of the plant will be LPG and the construction of the plant should be over by end of 2010 or early 2011.
