Paraxylene market declined by US $10/ton, price for PX imported from the Korean ports was around $900-905/ton. However, buyers continued to peg price below $900/ton.
The onward march of PTA prices ended today, with weak sentiment. Current offer price declined to $850-855/ton. Buyers continued to pull down price below $850/ton.
Ethylene price plunged down to between $860-865/ton in the S E Asian market. Buying intention was not high at $865/ton. In S E Asian market price was expected to reduce by $5/ton further due to weak upstream.
MEG mainstream price was constrained by the poor downstream demand. In S E Asian market price was in the range of $715-720/ton.
