In Chinese market, Caprolactam prices remained stable around RMB 19150 / ton. Market watchers mostly kept wait and watch stance. In the US, buyers quoted their bids at around US $2280 / ton but sellers did not accept it. Buyers tried to pull down prices in the range of $2250-2280 / ton.
Nylon chips prices remained stable around RMB 22500 / ton. Chinese imports were badly affected due to poor demand of Nylon chip. In the month of May, imports were reduced to 51,923 tons, a fall of 10,370 tons compared to April.
Nylon POY and DTY prices moved down by RMB 100 / ton and new prices of Nylon POY and DTY assessed around RMB 25,400 / ton and RMB 28,400 / ton respectively. Nylon FDY price dropped down by around RMB 200 / ton and was assessed around RMB 26,300 / ton.
