Paraxylene exhibited significant rebound in Asia. PX jumped to US $895-900 / ton. In the domestic Chinese market, PX stood at RMB 6225 / ton, offers for August delivery also accessed above $880 / ton.
PTA prices consolidated, remained unchanged from yesterday. PTA imported from Korea maintained price around $840 / ton. PTA in S E Asia hovered around $860 / ton but mainly traded in the range of $855-857 / ton.
Ethylene price in S E Asian market hovered at around $800 / ton. Japanese traders said the selling intention was close to $900 / ton in Taiwanese and Chinese market.
In MEG price discussion was at $730 / ton, whereas offers increased to $725 / ton level, and bonded goods stood around $730 / ton at Chinese ports. Still buyers continued to pull down price below $720 / ton.
