Paraxylene price was unchanged and market was firm at US $935-940 / ton. In Taiwanese spot market, PX prices stood at $915-920 / ton. In Korean markets, offers hovered around $905 / ton.
Asian PTA spot market was unchanged. PTA produced in Taiwan was offered around $890 / ton, while traded price was around $880 / ton.
PTA imported from Korean ports was offered in the range of $860-865 / ton, while trading price hovered in the range of $855-860 / ton.
Asian spot ethylene prices were assessed in the range of $870-910 / ton in N E Asia. In the S E Asian market, ethylene was quoted in the range of $860-865 / ton. In the European market, price was in the range of $1010-1020 / ton.
MEG market sentiment was steady. Selling offers increased to around $770 / ton but main stream discussion was mainly in the range of $750-755 / ton.
Counter offer was in the range of $745-750 / ton. Enquiries flow was good but sellers were reluctant to sell goods at lower price.
