Paraxylene was stable in S E Asian market and was priced in the range of US $980-985 / ton whereas; in Korean market, PX prices increased to $967 / ton. For October and November delivery price was at $980 / ton and $975 / ton, respectively.
After consolidation PTA price jumped higher in S E Asian market and was assessed in the range of $910-915 / ton. For cargoes imported from Taiwanese ports, were traded above $907 / ton. Korean PTA price crossed the level of $900 / ton and was offered in the range of $905-910 / ton. In Chinese market also, price surged to RMB 7500 / ton.
Asian ethylene market remained unchanged and was quoted around $940-945 / ton. In the European market, ethylene price fell by $25 / ton, to close at between $1020-1025 / ton and similarly in US market, price reduced by 2 cents / pound and stood at 35.5 cents/pound.
MEG offers jumped to $820-825 / ton. Sellers quoted price in the range of $815-820 / ton in the S E Asian market. Buyers remained active in trading around $810 / ton. In Chinese MEG market, price increased to around RMB 6550 / ton. Speculators expected small price rally in MEG market.
FG PET Chip went up slowly, in S E Asian market to approximately $1140-1150 / ton. While in N E Asian market it stood in the range of $1120-1130 / ton. BG PET chip was available in the range of $1200-1220 / ton.
