Paraxylene price was stable, in S E Asian market. PX was priced in the range of US $972-973 / ton, whereas in Korean market, PX prices declined to $956 / ton. For October and November delivery, price stood at $957 / ton and $952 / ton, respectively.
PTA price was range bound in S E Asian market in the range of $905-915 / ton. Cargoes imported from S E Asian region, were traded around $910 / ton. Offer of PTA touched the level of $920 / ton but no deals concluded.
In S E Asia, ethylene market price spurted up drastically by $25 / ton and was assessed in the range of $965-975 / ton. Speculators were firm for October deliveries, which were quoted at between $980-1020 / ton. In European market, price of ethylene was in the range of $1020-1025 / ton.
MEG remained stable today around $815 / ton. MEG offers were in the range of $810-815 / ton in the S E Asian market. Buyers remained active in trading around $810 / ton.
Market experts believe that, market is under consolidation period and they expect price rally in short term future.
