Paraxylene remained unchanged from yesterday's level. The Chinese market remained shut. In S E Asian market, price was in the range of US $1040-1045 / ton. In Korean market, PX was assessed around $1035-1040 / ton.
In PTA market, price did not change despite firm buying. In S E Asian market, price of PTA was still in the range of $950-955 / ton. Imported goods in Chinese and Taiwanese market were traded around $950 / ton.
Ethylene price was stable, despite firm upstream, as Chinese market remained shut today. Ethylene price stood around $1045-1050 / ton in S E Asian market. In the US, price increased to 35.95 cents / pound. In European market, ethylene price stayed stable around $1050 / ton.
MEG price continued to remain unchanged despite firm support of downstream market; offer price was in the range of $855-860 / ton. In S E Asian market, buyers were actively buying in the range of $850-857 / ton.
September settlement price of Sinopec of PX, PTA, MEG prices stood at RMB 7900 / ton ($978.22 / ton), RMB 7,700 / ton ($917.23 / ton) and RMB 6,800 / ton ($827.76 / ton), respectively.
