In Asian market, propylene price remained steady around US $1135 / ton and in European market, price was assessed around €915 / ton. Propylene price in the Japanese and Korean market was quoted at $1140 / ton and $1130 / ton, respectively.
In Far East Asia, Acrylonitrile (ACN) price stood at $1995 / ton. INEOS announced a shutdown of US, UK and Germany based ACN production facilities for maintenance purpose.
In the US, INEOS shut an ACN plant with a capacity of 200,000 ton / year. In UK and Germany, company has each a plant to produce approximately 300,000 tons / year.
In Chinese market, Acrylic Staple Fibre price stood steady around RMB 20900 / ton. . It is expected that the short-term market will hardly see any improving demand with prices remaining stable at the current level.
