In Asian market, propylene price remained steady around US $1135 / ton and in European market price was assessed around at €915 / ton. Propylene price in the Japanese and Korean market was quoted at $1140 / ton and $1130 / ton, respectively.
China based Datang International announced the start up of a plant to convert Methanol to Propylene, with an annual production capacity of 453,700 tons / year, which would be used to produce Polypropylene. The first PP production in the complex is expected to commence by year end.
In Far East Asia, Acrylonitrile (ACN) price stood around $1995 / ton. In South East Asia, ACN price was assessed around $2015 / ton.
In Chinese market, Acrylic Staple Fibre price stood steady around RMB 20900 / ton.
