Paraxylene prices declined in tandem with bearish energy market. In Chinese spot market, price declined by $50 / ton to $1250 / ton. PX imported from the Taiwanese market stood around $1265-1275 / ton.
PTA increased by $15 / ton in S E Asian markets. Price of PTA was in the range of $1155-1165 / ton. Offers for cargoes imported from Korean region were quoted around $1055-1060 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, price of PTA was in the range of RMB 8550-8600 / ton. Chinese sellers were reluctant to sell with expectation of better price in future.
Ethylene price increased and touched $1090 / ton. In S E Asian market, it was recorded around $1085 / ton. In Japanese market, ethylene was assessed around $1120-1130 / ton. In European market, it stood at around $1115 / ton and in European domestic market at around €915 / ton.
MEG price went up. In S E Asian market, price was in the range of $975-980 / ton, whereas trading concluded in the range of $975-980 / ton and offer price is expected to touch the level of $1000 / ton.
FG PET Chip in S E Asian market was in the range of $1220-1230 / ton, whereas offer surged to $1250 / ton but no deal was concluded.
