Paraxylene prices declined slowly as upstream turned weak. In Chinese spot market, PX price consolidated in the range of US $1225-1230 / ton. PX imported from the Korean market was around $1210-1215 / ton. For November delivery, price stood in the range of $1225-1235 / ton.
PTA offers were range bound around $1045 / ton but trading concluded mainly in the range of $1040-1045 / ton in S E Asian market. In the Korean region it stood at $1025-1030 / ton. Trading volumes were very small in the last few sessions.
Ethylene price plunged down around $40 / ton to $1040 /ton. In S E Asian market, price was recorded in the range of $1035-1040 / ton. In European market, ethylene price hovered around $1115 / ton. In European domestic market, it declined to €912 / ton.
MEG price lost $5 and fell to $965 / ton. In S E Asian market, price was assessed in the range of $955-960 / ton. Buyers still tried to pull down price around $960 / ton.
FG PET Chip was offered around $1250 / ton but deals concluded in the range of $1220-1230 / ton. Buyers tried to pull down price below $1200 / ton.
