Paraxylene prices declined slowly as upstream turned weak. In Chinese spot market, PX price consolidated in the range of $1225-1230 / ton. PX imported from the Korean market was around $1210-1215 / ton. For November delivery, price was in the range of $1225-1235 / ton.
PTA offers rebounded to $1055-1060 / ton, but trading concluded mainly in the range of $1050-1055 / ton in the S E Asian market and in Korea it was in the range of $1040-1045 / ton. In Chinese market, price was in the range of $1045-1055 / ton.
Ethylene price plunged down more by $10 to $1030 / ton. In S E Asia, price was recorded in the range of $1025-1030 / ton. In European market, ethylene price hovered in the range of $1155-1160 / ton. In European domestic market it declined to €935 / ton.
MEG price recovered the loss and was assessed around $975 / ton. In S E Asian market, price was in the range of $975-980 / ton. According to sellers, price hike was mainly due to availability shortage.
