Paraxylene price plunged by US $120 / ton in S E Asian spot market and was assessed at $1240 / ton. S Korean market also witnessed a fall of $120 / ton and maintained the level of $1230 / ton. Price of PX in US market moved in the range of $1295-1300 / ton in falling by $25 / ton.
PTA offers too sank by $115 / ton and was assessed around $1170 / ton in S E Asian market. In the F E Asian market, PTA too declined by $115 / ton and stood at $1175 /ton.
Ethylene market remained almost stable and was marked at $955 / ton in S E Asian market. CFR price in N E Asian market remained firm and moved in the range of $975-980 / ton. In European market, ethylene price surged by $10 / ton and was quoted at $1045 / ton.
MEG market fell due to sluggish buying sentiment, due to which price reduced by around $90 / ton and was assessed at $1020 / ton. CNF Chinese price observed a decline of $150 / ton and moved in the range of $1015-1020 / ton.
