In the just concluded week, price index of cotton grade 229 in Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces increased by 2,560 Yuan to 32,039 Yuan / ton. Price index of cotton grade 328 rose 2390 Yuan to 31,281 Yuan / ton at the weekend and price index of cotton grade 527 ascended by 2031 Yuan to 28,728 Yuan / ton.
Polyester staple fiber price too soared in the week. The average price of 1.4D × 38mm grew to 19,580 Yuan / ton and some offers at the weekend even exceeded 20,000 Yuan / ton. Viscose staple fiber price continued to hike. The price of 1.5D × 38mm stood at 30,280 Yuan / ton and some deals were even concluded at 31,000 Yuan / ton.
Currently, mainstream price of C40s was 44000-45000 Yuan / ton and in some cases even touched more than 47,000 Yuan / ton. Prices of cotton fabrics too continued to rise, but trade volumes seemed to decrease.
Prices of blended polyester/ cotton yarn rose by about around 6,100 Yuan / ton. Mainstream price of 65/35 32s was about 32,000 Yuan / ton.
Average prices of rayon yarn too flared up in the week by more than 4,000 Yuan / ton. The average price of 1.5D × 38mm has now reached 30,800 Yuan / ton, as the rayon yarn market follows in the footsteps of viscose staple fiber.
