PTA trading atmosphere was dull in North China market on January 31, as the Spring Festival is approaching, participants have started to desert the market, offers were few and sporadic offers ranged around 11200-11250 Yuan / ton, discussing price was about 11,100 Yuan / ton, trading atmosphere was light and firm offers were scarce.
As Chinese New Year is approaching, many participants have left the market, there was almost no initiative offers of PTA in East China market. Sporadic offers were at 11,200 Yuan / ton, inquiries from downstream market were less, and negotiated price was around 11000-11100 Yuan / ton.
PTA import spot market was deserted, market transaction was basically stagnant, trading atmosphere was light, negotiated price for Taiwan goods was around US $1410-1420/ ton, offers for South Korean goods were around US $ 1400/ ton.
