Japanese MMF output up in Feb

Production of man-made fibres in February, rose 13.3 percent to 80,072 tons, from a year ago, said the Japan Chemical Fibers Association.

Of this, output of synthetic fibres climbed 14.3 percent to 65,765 tons. However polyester filament production fell 14.3 percent to 65,765 tons.

Nylon filament rose by 7.8 percent to 7,521 tons, acrylic staple fiber increased by 16.2 percent to 10,924 tons and polyester staple fiber output was up by 3.8 percent to 12,347 tons.
