Imports of naphtha, used in production of ethylene rose two percent in February, from a year earlier.
The volume of imported naphtha amounted to 1.42 million tons valued at US $1.25 billion.
However volume of February imports were down 6.8 percent from January, where it stood at 1.53 million tons.
The average price of naphtha imports stood at $878.4 / ton, against, $735.4 / ton in February 2010 and $856.8 / ton in January 2011.
