Petroleum Industries Minister of Sri Lanka, Susil Premajayantha recently stated that, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) earned US $9.84 million in foreign exchange, through sale of naphtha to the world markets at the rate of Rs. 54.29 per litre on November 7, 2010.
It earned an additional $11.19 million by exporting once gain naphtha at a higher price of Rs. 62.12 per litre on the same day.
The Corporation earned another $10.45 million during February this year, through export sales of another lot of naphtha at a price of Rs. 62.69 per litre, he added.
