Chinese March cotton imports shoot up over Feb

China's cotton imports registered 276,400 tons in March, up 50 percent from the previous month, but down by 47,300 tons year on year or 14.6 percent.

From January to March this year, China's total cotton imports touched 852,100 tons, an increase of 0.7 percent year on year.

While, from September 2010 to March 2011, China's total cotton imports fetched 1.7369 million tons, an increase of 24.37 percent year on year.
