Asian benzene trends dip

In Asian market, benzene fell US $24 from the previous day closing to US $1183-1186 / ton (FOB Korea) and China's domestic pure benzene market witnessed a weak trend and prices were relatively steady with nominal deals.

In the Chinese markets, prices in Eastern China moved in a narrow range of 7750-7800 Yuan / ton. In South China, benzene was quoted at 7800-8000 Yuan / ton while mainstream price in North China registered 7700-7800 Yuan / ton.

A sharp decline in international oil price and overseas offers affected the benzene market significantly. Due to these factors downstream styrene demand was insufficient and trade activities were limited.

Market participants expect short-term market conditions of domestic benzene to maintain a weak consolidation trend in coming days too.
