Fashion distributors Inditex and SEPES, Entidad Pública Empresarial de Suelo, have entered into a purchase agreement regarding two plots located at the Industrial Zone of Onzonilla, León, which shall be used for the establishment therein of a new logistics platform.
The plots purchased by Inditex cover a total area of 66,000 m² and there is a project to build thereon a 40,000 m² gross area warehouse.
The operation of this logistics platform in a site which has been selected for both its geographical location and a suitable network of transport infrastructures, will involve the investment by Inditex of approximately 15 million euros.
This project is part of the logistics development plan announced by Inditex a few months back, in July that covers investments in all hubs of the Group, as well as the creation of new platforms in León and Madrid.
At present, Inditex has hubs in Arteixo (A Coruña), Zaragoza, Narón (A Coruña), Tordera (Barcelona), Sallent de Llobregat (Barcelona) and Elche (Alicante), which provide, in aggregate, around 400 million articles to the more than 2,600 stores of the Group in 60 countries.
Expected investments in all of them and the new capacity available in Leon and Madrid will enable to absorb the expected growth of the Group in the forthcoming years.
Inditex fashion philosophy -creativity and quality design together with a rapid response to market demands- has resulted in fast international expansion and excellent response to our sales concepts.
