SATRA to set six Flammability Seminars, China & Malysia

Research and technology organization SATRA Furniture Flammability Seminars are place to continue after another successful year. Since introducing them in 1997, SATRA has held 70 seminars, welcoming over 500 delegates through its doors.
In addition, seminars have taken place in China and Malaysia. The seminars have attracted all types of companies from the furniture supply chain including manufacturers, exporters, importers, agents and retailers.
Each seminar covers the essential flammability requirements of the UK based legislation relating to upholstered furniture and beds.
With the UK government promising to put more effort into the enforcement of the regulations, first introduced in 1988, it will be essential for anyone in the furniture supply chain to understand the implications for them.
The seminars will continue to be run throughout 2006, but with a new format. They will be based at the SATRA Technology Centre headquarters in Kettering, Northants.
The legislation on flammability is an important topic relevant to furniture manufacturers, importers and retailers supplying upholstery or beds. Cost per person is £150 (excluding VAT). Each seminar lasts one day. Confidential discussion time and a tour of SATRA are available.
The seminars will be particularly relevant to manufacturers, importers and retailers involved in UK Domestic Upholstered Furniture, Contract upholstery and beds for both markets. The Seminar will also provide valuable information for those supplying materials such as covers, fillings and interliners.
