Mervyns selects Integrated Logistics Solutions from Manhattan

Supply chain solutions provider Manhattan Associates Inc has announced that Mervyns, a leading promotional neighborhood department store, has selected Integrated Logistics Solutions(TM) as part of the retailer's total IT upgrade.
The San Francisco-based Mervyns chose Manhattan Associates' supply chain execution solutions including Warehouse Management, Trading Partner Management, Labor Management and Performance Management for deployment at its two distribution centers in California.
These Integrated Logistics Solutions will help Mervyns to increase control of its supply chain, boost operational performance and enhance proactive business decisions using real-time information.
Kurt Streitz, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Mervyns, said, "Mervyns selected Manhattan Associates because of its expertise and experience in retail and its ability to meet our aggressive timetable."
"The team understood our business, and the company's solutions offered the retail-specific functionality we needed--straight out of the box," he added.
The project is part of Mervyns' overall strategy to replace all of its IT systems at one time--including supply chain solutions as well as financial, merchandising and point-of-sale applications.
Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management solution will play a critical role in Mervyns' strategy. By transforming the retailer's two warehouse facilities into efficient flow-throughenvironments, where goods arriving from manufacturers can be shipped directly to stores from the receiving dock, the solution will help Mervyns save time and keep its stores stocked.
