Based on the latest Microsoft .NET platform, plmOn leverages the internet to provide users with the ease of use and global connectivity needed to collaborate seamlessly across the entire supply chain.
“Yunique was the only vendor offering the .NET technology”, added Sanez. “Not only is it a true web-based solution, it gives us the simplicity and ease-of-use we needed to get our designers and trading partners up and running very quickly. Many products in this space are simple, document-based systems. plmOn is a true collaboration tool that allows us to exchange and share information in real-time; across our extremely SKU-intensive business.”
This enables us to quickly develop concepts comprising our 'wish list' of fabrics, styling, trims, etc., and then collaborate with our agents and suppliers on their ideas and bids.”
The Newport News implementation of plmOn comprises approximately 100 users with most departments now online. The company has incorporated designers, technical design, sourcing, buyers, and other key functional groups in the company. “We are able to implement quickly due to the discipline that we already had in place with our Probe system”, said Sanez.
“We already had structure and credibility of data in place. While we are working fast, we are also taking a controlled and organized approach. Yunique has been very hands-on and helpful in the implementation process. We have nothing but rave reviews for the product and the implementation."
