SGMEA organizes workshop on sports goods technology

Sports Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association (SGMEA) has organized a workshop on technology development, utilisation and transfer in association with the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), said R S Rana, Chairman, SGMEA.
The objective of this workshop was to get acquainted with the latest technology in manufacturing sports goods
DSIR officials provided detailed knowledge to local industrialists about technologies being introduced not only in the field of sports goods manufacturing but also in leather, rubber, tyre, shoes and hand tools industries, Rana said.
The workshop also stressed on the need for research and development in the industry, Rana added.
DSIR Director, Kuldeep Rai made an auto-visual presentation on various governmental schemes for promotion of innovative & indigenous technology.
