North Carolina based AATCC expands TEsting & Evaluation CD Series. Water Resistance and Repellency has been added to the AATCC CD training series. The new training module contains instruction of AATCC test methods:
- TM 22 Water Repellency: Spray Test
- TM 35 Water Resistance: Rain Test
- TM 42 Water Resistance: Impact Penetration Test
- TM 70 Water Repellency: Tumble Jar Dynamic Absorption Test
- TM 127 Water Resistance: Hydrostatic Pressure
AATCC has conducted test method training programs at its headquarters for many years. In response to the textile industry's requests for other forms of training, AATCC launched the Testing & Evaluation Series of training programs on CD.
The training programs of AATCC test methods include a demonstration of the correct technique in performing the methods. The portability of the program allows laboratories to train new technicians on-site.
All of the programs in the AATCC CD training series are prepared and presented by the AATCC staff and have been reviewed by the Research Committees that are responsible for the test methods included in the program. Each program covers a specific topic, and some programs include a number of related test methods and/or evaluation procedures.
Additional training CD titles will be added over time as the research committees responsible for various test methods work to develop appropriate content.
