With ProSpinFashionST, companies can produce more prototypes and shorten their production cycle. Technical feasibility and cost forecasting are improved, and feedback from the field can be taken into account earlier in the cycle, permitting a reduction of time-to-market.
New technology for unmatched quality.
ProSpinFashionST benefits from the technology developed for Lectra's proven cutting room solutions. It provides the highest cutting quality level ever achieved by single-ply systems thanks to its new vibrating blade and improvements in the cutting of curves and complex shapes.
This characteristic, combined with a compartment vacuum system, ensures satisfactory productivity, regardless of the shape of the pieces. It rapidly and accurately cuts a variety of flexible materials used in the apparel industry, as well as plotting and cutting cardboard cutouts.
Thanks to the Mosaic option, unique to Lectra, which has received worldwide recognition, a digital camera with associated light enables the detection of the actual position of the motif and allows the cutter to process fabrics that need to be matched, such as stripes, plaids, and prints.
It analyzes the exact position of motifs on the cutting surface, analyzes distortions, modifies markers and the geometry of pieces in real time based on the fabric's physical characteristics, and automatically launches the calculation and cutting process.
”The result of more than 30 years of R&D investment in close cooperation with Lectra customers, this new ProSpinFashionST symbolizes the innovation that we bring to them,” said Lectra CEO, Daniel Harari. “Fully integrated with Lectra's software and CAD/CAM equipment, this single-ply cutter is part of a complete and coherent solution for prototyping and short-run production.”
With 1,500 worldwide employees and $260 million in 2005 revenues, Lectra is the world leader in software, CAD/CAM equipment and related services dedicated to large-scale users of textiles, leather and industrial fabrics.
Lectra addresses a broad array of major global markets, including fashion (apparel, accessories, footwear), automotive, aeronautical and furniture. Lectra is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange.
