In particular, the ACIMIT Foundation has completed in 2004 the preparation of 5 “Text Books”. These Text Books, specifically prepared for colleges of textile technology, describe the technologies used in the spinning (wool and cotton), chemical fibre, weaving, knitting and finishing sectors. The updated re-print of the Text Books related to the finishing and to the chemical fibres is presently underway.
The success of the initiative has been so big (more than 16,000 copies have already been printed) that these Text Books have also been translated into English, in order to distribute them, in CD-Rom form, to the most important foreign textile institutes and universities, and into Chinese, so that they can be distributed throughout a textile country as important as China.
