StillSecure, provider of an award-winning, integrated suite of enterprise network security solutions, announced that fashion stores retailer Claire's Stores Inc is using StillSecure Safe Access for enterprise-class network access control.
Safe Access protects the network by ensuring endpoint devices are free from threats and in compliance with IT security policies before they are allowed on the network.
As a public company in the retail market, Claire's is required to comply with government regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley and the PCI Data Security Standard.
As part of this process, auditors come on-site and connect to the corporate network to review financial and customer records. Claire's was concerned by the threat that these unmanaged devices posed to the network, and began looking for a method to ensure laptops were appropriately locked down before gaining access.
Claire's chose Safe Access because with three testing methods and five enforcement methods, it was easily compatible with Claire's heterogeneous network infrastructure. Furthermore, using Safe Access' agentless testing method, unmanaged endpoints could be quickly tested regardless of network topology, configuration, hardware, versioning, etc.
"Safe Access is infrastructure-agnostic and simple to deploy so it integrates seamlessly into virtually any network environment," said Scott Anderson, Director of MIS at Claire's Stores Inc.
"We're pleased thatClaire's recognizes Safe Access as an industry-leading NAC solution that is flexible enough to test any type of endpoint device connecting to the network, whether managed or unmanaged," said Mitchell Ashley, CTO and VP of Customer Experience at StillSecure.
