Eton Systems, the world's leading provider of unit production systems (UPS) for the sewn-product industries, will exhibit its wide range of industrial fabrics applications in Booth #501 at the IFAI Expo 2006 to be held October 31- November 2 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Eton will treat expo visitors to a live video feed of insulated protective clothing production on Eton at Refrigiwear's North Georgia factory.

The booth will also feature production simulations, video presentations, and real-time software demonstrations that highlight how the Eton System has helped industrial products manufacturers in over 60 countries around the world to increase productivity, accelerate throughput time, reduce inventories, and cut manufacturing costs.

Eton technical representatives will be on-hand to discuss the successful implementation of the Eton System in a wide range of industrial applications, including all-weather apparel, airbags/seat belts, bedding, camping gear, flags, home fashion/furniture, parachutes, umbrellas, uniforms, vehicle covers, and more.

The Eton System comprises a custom-designed overhead conveyor system that transports products of all types and sizes through the production process, eliminating manual transportation and non-productive handling time by ergonomically positioning the product for each operation.

The system also collects shop-floor data that supports sophisticated process control management.

By eliminating waste and other non value-added activities, Eton supports lean manufacturing practices such as minimizing floor space requirements, reducing work-in-process inventories, and increasing productivity - among its many other advantages.
