A new textile printing centre called 'Center for Digital Printing of Textiles', which is computerized, has started at University of Manchester. Modern equipments costing £1,00,000 have been installed in this section.

Center was inaugurated by leading fashion designer Nigel Cabourn, who is one of the designers at Debenhams collective.

University students will be able to use the center's machinery to design for top fashion design houses, which will be facilitated by 6 computers with Ava CAD/CAM software and 2 Mimaki inkjet printers at the center.

By utilization of the new systems, students of design and fashion retail will be able to exhibit their creativity fast and inexpensively.
