For two days this winter, online retail leaders will gather to discuss the future of e-commerce and how to prepare for changes in customer behavior and new competitive challenges at Shop.org's FirstLook 2007.
The annual kickoff for Internet and multichannel retail leaders takes place at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando January 31 – February 2.
“FirstLook's goal this year is to bring together online retail business professionals with their IT colleagues to spark creativity and generate new ideas about the future of eCommerce,” said Shop.org Executive Director Scott Silverman.
“We hope that by sharing and exploring ideas for the future among e-commerce business and IT leaders, FirstLook will serve as a catalyst for industry innovation.”
FirstLook's General Session on Thursday, February 1, “Future of Online Marketing and E-commerce,” is a two-part discussion. The morning panel, which is an extended discussion of the types of technological and social changes that are likely to affect e-commerce in the not-so-distant future, features JupiterKagan Inc.
Senior Analyst Patti Freeman Evans, Yahoo! Vice President of Marketing Lorna Borenstein, Isobar President Sarah Fay, Overstock.com Senior Vice President of Online Marketing Jacob Hawkins and Bazaarvoice Founder and CEO Brett Hurt.
The afternoon session focuses on preparing for the future of e-commerce and features Kikucall CEO Brian Hecht, Scene7 CEO Doug Mack, Gartner Group Research Vice President Hung LeHong, Allurent Inc CEO Joe Chung and Miki Racine Berardelli and Paul Zaengle from Polo company.
Keynote Presentation - Phil Terry, CEO, Creative Good Friday, February 2, 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. Creative Good and Shop.org have teamed up for three years to produce a “customer experience day” focused on customer-centric web design.
Customer experience expert and Creative Good CEO Phil Terry will discuss best practices in customer-centric web design and will demonstrate live observations of real customers engaged in online shopping and buying.
