Home appliance seller Sears Canada Inc launched an online shopping program called Sears WebTV - www.searswebtv.ca.
This on-demand point-and-click webcast is designed to help Sears internet shoppers with solutions for everyday living by showcasing innovative merchandise benefits from trend advice to great home fashions and apparel for shoppers on a budget, and more.
"Sears WebTV is a pilot shopping program that is intended to support Sears Value strategy to become a leader in providing consumers with innovative products that offer quality and value at a great price, while promoting business categories in which Sears has an authority position," told Frank Rocchetti, Senior Vice-President, Merchandising and Marketing, Sears Canada.
"Sears online product selection is synergistic with the show's content, effectively demonstrating the merchandise value and benefits allowing customers to make informed decisions about their purchase."
Sears WebTV programs feature eight merchandise categories at a time. The programs are 30 minutes long and are hosted by designer Sandra Gayle, best known for her work on HGTV's Design Challenge.
The programs feature such experts as their time aerobic champion, Sharon Mann, who explains the various benefits, quality and value of Sears merchandise in an entertaining and informative format. In addition, an image and price of the featured product is readily available if shoppers want to learn more about the product or wish to purchase it.
